Villa Landscaping
Villa Landscaping in Damac Lagoons, Dubai | Complete Garden Transformation
A complete villa landscaping project in Damac Lagoons, transforming an unfinished external area into a comfortable and usable garden. The work included site preparation, soil improvement, natural turf, palms, ornamental planting, paving, outdoor seating and irrigation. The final layout keeps the garden open while creating separate areas for relaxing, entertaining and everyday family use.
This Damac Lagoons villa started with an unfinished outdoor area that needed to be turned into a practical garden for everyday family use. Over seven weeks, the space was developed with new soil preparation, natural turf, feature palms, layered planting, paved walkways, an outdoor seating area and a fully zoned irrigation system. The design was kept clean and open, with planting used around the boundaries to add privacy without making the garden feel enclosed.
The challenge
The main challenge was creating a garden that felt spacious while still providing privacy and clearly defined outdoor areas. The villa had enough external space for several landscape features, but placing too many elements together would have made the garden feel crowded. The team therefore focused on a simple layout with an open lawn at the centre, planting along the boundaries and a defined paved seating area close to the villa. Irrigation, drainage and access for future maintenance were also considered during the installation.
Materials & features
Materials used: Porcelain outdoor paving, imported sandy loam topsoil, Phoenix dactylifera date palms, drought-tolerant ornamental planting, stainless steel edging and a zoned drip irrigation system. Materials were selected to complement the contemporary villa while remaining suitable for Dubai’s hot and dry conditions.
Features included: A natural turf lawn, feature date palms, structured boundary planting, a paved outdoor seating area, garden pathways and a fully zoned irrigation system. Low-level landscape lighting was also introduced around key planting areas and pathways to give the garden a softer appearance after sunset.
