A narrow side passage transformed into a composed garden corridor for a Tilal Al Ghaf townhouse. Alternating white marble pebbles and black basalt gravel frame a central planting bed filled with ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs and seasonal colour, creating a low-maintenance garden feature within a compact space.
Transformation of an 18 sq m side passage in a Tilal Al Ghaf townhouse into a structured planting corridor. The scope included weed membrane installation, alternating bands of white marble pebbles and black basalt gravel, a central raised planting bed with ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs and seasonal colour plants, finished with a galvanised steel edging system.
The challenge
The narrow 18 sq m side passage needed to become a visually appealing garden area without reducing circulation space. The design had to provide clear structure, control weeds and introduce planting while keeping ongoing maintenance manageable.
