Palm Tree Planting in Dubai Hills Estate | Mature Date Palm Avenue
A professional mature palm tree planting project in Dubai Hills Estate, involving the supply and crane installation of 22 established date palms along a 220 linear metre residential avenue. The palms were planted into prepared soil-amended pits and connected to dedicated bubbler irrigation to support efficient watering during establishment. An ongoing feeding and pest monitoring programme was also introduced to help the palms establish successfully. The finished avenue provides an immediate mature landscape character while complementing the surrounding residential development.
This Dubai Hills Estate residential avenue required the supply and professional installation of 22 mature date palms along a 220 linear metre frontage. Each Phoenix dactylifera palm, with a 6–7 m clear trunk, was transported and positioned using a crane before being installed into specially excavated and soil-amended planting pits. Dedicated bubbler irrigation was provided for each palm, followed by an establishment feeding and pest monitoring programme to support healthy root development during the first growing season. The project created a formal palm avenue while providing an established landscape appearance immediately after installation.
The challenge
The main challenge was installing 22 mature date palms along a long residential avenue while ensuring each tree was positioned accurately and provided with suitable soil and irrigation conditions. Because the palms had established trunk heights of 6–7 m, crane access and safe lifting were essential during installation. Each planting location was prepared in advance so the palms could be positioned efficiently, aligned consistently along the avenue and connected to dedicated bubbler irrigation after installation.
