The design creates a refined outdoor setting during the day while using controlled illumination to enhance the water views after dark.
Waterfront landscape design and installation for a 510 sq m lakeside villa plot in Jumeirah Islands. The scope included a natural stone jetty approach, ornamental grass planting along the water edge, an entertaining terrace finished in sawn sandstone and a three-zone nighttime lighting scheme with beam angles carefully planned to complement the lake views.
The challenge
The lakeside villa required a landscape design that would connect the garden with the waterfront without overwhelming the natural views. The lighting also needed careful positioning to minimise glare and use reflections on the water as part of the evening landscape experience.

Materials used: Sawn sandstone paving and jetty approach, Pennisetum and Muhlenbergia ornamental grasses, 12V LED uplighters, waterway luminaires and a smart three-zone lighting controller
