A commercial landscaping project in Downtown Dubai covering 1,800 sq m around an operating business park. The landscape combines heavy-duty granite paving, a formal palm avenue, durable planting and centrally controlled irrigation to create a professional and practical plaza environment. Phased construction allowed pedestrian access to remain available throughout the works, making the project suitable for an active commercial development where landscaping improvements need to be delivered without major disruption.
This Downtown Dubai business park required a complete commercial landscaping upgrade across an 1,800 sq m public-facing plaza while the building remained operational. The landscaping works were delivered in three carefully planned phases to maintain pedestrian access and minimise disruption to businesses and visitors. The scope included heavy-duty 60×60 cm granite paving, a formal avenue of 14 mature Phoenix sylvestris palms along the main approach, durable low-maintenance planting and a centrally controlled irrigation system. The landscape was designed to provide a professional entrance environment capable of handling regular pedestrian use and Dubai’s demanding climate.
The challenge
The main challenge was completing substantial landscaping works around an operating commercial building while maintaining safe pedestrian access throughout the project. The plaza also required materials and planting capable of handling regular foot traffic, Dubai’s heat and ongoing commercial use. The works were therefore divided into three phases, allowing sections of the landscape to be completed while keeping access routes open and coordinating paving, tree planting and irrigation installation efficiently.

Materials used: Heavy-duty 60×60 cm granite paving, 14 mature Phoenix sylvestris palms, landscape-grade planting mix, 16-zone central irrigation controller, stainless steel tree grates and durable commercial landscape materials selected for high-traffic outdoor areas.
